In-Home Pet Euthanasia in Scottsdale, Arizona

From Old Town to Troon North, Scottsdale runs nearly thirty miles end to end, and we cover all of it.

When it's time to say goodbye, your dog or cat shouldn't spend their last hour in a car, then a waiting room, then a stainless steel table. We come to your home in Scottsdale so your pet can go peacefully in their own bed, in your lap, or in the patch of afternoon sun they've claimed for years.

What it costs in Scottsdale

$405, all in. Scottsdale is inside our service area, so there is no travel fee, and no surcharge for evenings, weekends, holidays, or large dogs. The price is the same whether we come to you on a Tuesday morning or a Sunday night.

$405 — At-home euthanasia

$555 — At-home euthanasia with aquamation, ashes scattered in Ash Fork

$690 — At-home euthanasia with aquamation, ashes returned to you

Most providers charge extra for a larger pet, for the drive out to you, and for evenings and weekends. On a typical Saturday visit for an 80-pound dog, those add $75 to $175 to the price you were quoted. We don't do that. The number above is the number you pay.

How soon can you come?

We do our best to accommodate same-day requests, and our care coordinators answer calls and texts from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.

We give a two-hour arrival window, one hour either side of your appointment time, and we'll tell you what it is when you book. If you'd rather talk it through before deciding anything, that's what we're here for. There's no charge to call and no pressure to schedule.

Getting to you in Scottsdale

Much of north Scottsdale is guard-gated or gate-code access. Tell us the community name and gate instructions when you book and we will sort it out ahead of time, so nobody is sitting at a callbox on the day. If you are north of the 101, the drive is longer, and we will build that into your arrival window.

Neighborhoods we visit in Scottsdale

We come to homes throughout Scottsdale, including Old Town, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, Grayhawk, DC Ranch, Troon North, Desert Mountain. If your neighborhood isn't listed, that almost certainly doesn't mean we can't reach you. The list is only a sample. Call or text 602-960-2501 and we'll tell you straight away.

Who comes to your home

A veterinarian and a veterinary technician come to every appointment. You will never be asked to lift or carry your pet, whatever their size. Nobody is rushed, and nobody will hurry you.

Our veterinarians have chosen this work specifically, focusing on gentle, in-home euthanasia rather than splitting time with a general practice. Our team includes staff certified in pet loss and grief support.

What the visit looks like

We sit down with you first. We'll ask about your pet, talk through what is about to happen, and answer anything you want to ask, for as long as you need. You choose where your pet rests: their bed, your lap, the couch, the back patio.

When you're ready, your pet receives a sedative that includes strong pain medication. Over the next five to fifteen minutes they relax completely and fall deeply asleep. When you say so, and only then, the veterinarian gives the final injection. It's quiet, and it's quick.

Afterward we make a clay pawprint and clip a lock of fur for you to keep, and we give you time alone.

Aftercare for Scottsdale families

Our aftercare partner is A Greener Place in Mesa. They use aquamation, a gentle water-based alternative to flame cremation, and we handle every part of getting your pet there and your pet's ashes back to you.

If you'd like your pet's ashes returned, they come back in a wooden urn with an engraved nameplate. Scottsdale families can collect them in Mesa, or have them delivered for $40. If you choose communal aquamation, we scatter your pet's ashes ourselves on private land in Ash Fork, and we'll show you exactly where.

If your pet has already passed

If your pet died at home before we could get to you, we can still help. We'll come to your home in Scottsdale, take care of your pet gently, and handle the cremation arrangements. Body care is $455 with communal aquamation and $590 with ashes returned. Call or text 602-960-2501.

Common questions from Scottsdale families

How quickly can you get to Scottsdale?

We reach Scottsdale regularly and can often come the same day or the next. Because it's a moderate drive, calling earlier in the day gives us more room to fit you in when you want us.

Do you charge extra to drive out to Scottsdale?

No. We don't charge mileage, and we don't add anything for evenings, weekends or holidays, or for the size of your pet. The figure on this page is the figure on your invoice, whatever the drive.

My Scottsdale community is gated. What do you need from me?

Just tell us the community name and the gate code or guard instructions when you book, and we'll take care of access before the day. If we need to be added to a visitor list, let us know and we'll give you the names to add.
